Built for process
Flanged process trap in 100% stainless steel, 1" to 4", in custom lengths.
No moving parts
Works on a hydrodynamic principle with sized venturis. There is no disc, float or bimetal to wear out.
From 1" to 4"
Five sizes, from 1" (DN25) to 4" (DN100), with flanges to match each system.
Custom length
Standard lengths or made to measure up to 1000 mm (40").
100% stainless steel
304L body, 316 nozzle and 304 or 304L flanges. Welded and tested to ASME standards.
Shell and tube heat exchangers
Condensate discharge from the steam side under variable load.
Air heaters
Steam coils and batteries heating process air.
Calorifiers and reboilers
Process equipment with variable steam demand.
Cooking vessels
Jacketed vessels with heating cycles.
Compare the connections
The versions share the design and main components. The connection changes, and with it the operating limits.

Frequently asked questions
What maintenance and engineering teams ask us most about the FLSS trap.
What applications is the Fenix FLSS steam trap designed for?
Process applications on flanged lines, 1" to 4", such as shell and tube heat exchangers, air heaters, reboilers and cooking vessels. Each trap is designed for its location with flanges to match the system.
What is the maximum operating pressure of the FLSS?
FLSS: depends on the flange rating, from PN16 or ANSI 150 up to PN100 or ANSI 1500.
What sizes and connections does the FLSS come in?
1" (DN25), 1½" (DN40), 2" (DN50), 3" (DN80), 4" (DN100). Connections: ANSI or PN flanges.
How is the FLSS maintained?
The inlet nozzle is 316 stainless steel, and its gasket is supplied as a spare part by size (G-3 to G-6).
Can the FLSS be made in a special length?
Yes. It is made in standard lengths or custom up to 1000 mm (40").
What warranty does the Fenix FLSS trap have?
The Fenix FLSS trap has a 15-year warranty.
What spare parts are available for the FLSS?
Nozzle gasket (G-3 (1") · G-4 (1½") · G-5 (2") · G-6 (3", 4")).
Fenix strainer, designed and made by Fenix
A trap only works well if the condensate reaching it is clean. That is why Fenix designed and makes its own strainer, and guarantees it for 15 years, the same as the trap.
